Wakefield hit hard by Tories’ PIP

Mary Creagh MP:

“People in Wakefield are on the front line of the Tory-led Government’s roll-out of new Personal Independence Payments. Nationally there is a huge backlog with 183,000 people stuck waiting for assessments. I have helped more than 30 local disabled people get their cases sorted but some have been forced to wait 10 months. People in Wakefield should not be forced to pay the price for more Tory welfare waste.”
