The Prime Minister must urgently act to tackle illegal levels of pollution in the UK

Following Wednesday 2 November’s High Court ruling that the Government’s plan to tackle air pollution is illegal, they were forced to come back to the Commons and set out a more comprehensive plan. During this debate, I highlighted documents revealed in evidence during the court case showing the Treasury blocked measures to help clean up air pollution. I demanded DEFRA Minister Therese Coffey work with the Treasury and the Transport Department to “stop dirty diesel”.
