Working hard for Wakefield

Save King Street Walk-in Centre

Kings Street Walk-in Centre is an essential first port of call for thousands of people working and living in Wakefield who need urgent medical attention, and a means of reducing pressure on local A&E services and GP practices. It’s disappointing that despite our hard-fought local campaign, Wakefield CCG are closing King Street GP surgery which shares the same building, and staff as the walk-in service. They must now guarantee the safe running of King Street walk-in centre, and ensure that the 38,000 people who used the centre last year are not forced into Pinderfields’ overstretched A&E. The contract is up for renewal in September 2017, and I’ll be fighting tooth and nail to make sure Wakefield CCG do not close the walk-in service too. Please sign below:

We the undersigned call on Wakefield CCG to ensure that King Street Walk-In Centre remains open and the 38,000 patients who used the service last year are not forced into Pinderfields overstretched A&E.
