Robert and Lynne attend state opening of Parliament

Mary was delighted to welcome constituents Robert Gosling and Lynne Stainthorpe to Westminster on Wednesday 18 May for the state opening of Parliament.

Robert and Lynne met Mary for a tour of Parliament in the morning, and then went to sit in the Royal Gallery in the House of Lords to watch the Queen arrive and deliver her speech setting out the Government's legislative agenda for the next year.

They also attended the reception for MPs and their guests after the speech, where they met 'Mr Speaker', John Bercow MP.
