Mary spoke in Parliament today against the closure of Wakefield Magistrates’ Court, which is among 86 courts and tribunal hearing centres that face closure up and down the country. Mary highlighted the excellent results of the court in the face of significant cuts to the justice system. Mary said, “Wakefield’s court is a vital community resource that provides access to justice for people in Wakefield, and its closure will undermine that access.”
