Mary Creagh urges PM to challenge climate sceptic Trump

The Environmental Audit Committee have written to the Prime Minister ahead of her visit to the States, with grave concerns about President Trump’s views on climate change. In his first few days as President, Trump has replaced the climate change page on the White House website with a fossil-fuel-based energy policy, and attempted to gag the Environmental Protection Agency. The Prime Minister has said she won’t be afraid to challenge him. Ahead of her meeting with Trump last Friday, Mary urged Theresa May to start by telling the new President that climate change is not 'a hoax'.
