Responding to the announcement, Mary said: “It is deeply worrying that Post Office Ltd has decided to close Wakefield Crown Post Office and I encourage everyone to respond to the consultation. I am now seeking urgent clarification about the future of the West Bretton detached service. Coupled with the closure of Ossett Royal Mail delivery office, Tory government cuts have led to a triple whammy for Wakefield’s postal and delivery services.”
